"At the still point... there the dance begins"

What an intriguing title for a quiet day!

In January Don and Jane McGregor led a Quiet Day at St. David's Cathedral. The weather, if you remember, was cold and rather wet, and the post Christmas inertia nearly had me stay at home.

I am so glad I decided to let my curiosity over the title win.

The day followed the usual pattern; coffee and chat, followed by introductions and the first input by Don and Jane. An hour's quiet was followed by lunch, then a similar couple of hours in the afternoon, rounded off by a simple communion service. During the quiet times Don and Jane were around for prayer ministry.

In both the morning and afternoon, there were readings from the Bible, and some moving poetry and prose from Christian authors. They took up the idea that God wants us to be still before Him, and the He can lead us in a wonderful, exuberant dance.

All who attended felt the presence of the Holy Spirit in a special way.
