Partners in Compassion

For ten years the Tŷ Hafan Hospice, Penarth, has provided respite, palliative and end of life care to the children in Wales through the skill and compassion all its workers. However, it would never have been able to do so without its many partners, all around the country, who provide financial support.

Cor Newyddion Da

For many years the members of Tabernacle Congregational Church, Haverfordwest, together with the church Short Mat Bowls Club, have supported and raised funds for Tŷ Hafan, amounting to over £10,000.

As in previous years the main event will be an afternoon of Prayer, Praise and Song led by Mrs Margaret Evans of St Davids. This year it will be on Sunday May 17th at 3pm in Tabernacle Congregational Church, City Road, Haverfordwest.

The Mezin String Quartet

The renowned children's choir Cor Newyddion Da and the Mezin String Quartet will both be taking part and everyone is warmly invited to join them and the church members.

Pam Hughes writes "Because this year is the 10th Anniversary of the opening of Tŷ Hafan it would be wonderful if we could make a special effort to come together to ask God's blessing on those who are sick, and to praise God for those who care and give comfort to such vulnerable young people."

In the past ten years Tŷ Hafan has provided support for around 300 families across Wales both at the hospice and in their own communities. You can find more details about Tŷ Hafan at www.tyhafan.org/ and you can contact Pam by email, at pamhughes18@yahoo.co.uk, to find more about the Songs of Praise.
